Moray junior clubs back in action

JUNIOR football returns to Moray this weekend with two derby matches.

In the McBookie.com First Division West, Buckie Rovers play host to Forres Thistle.

Rovers' last outing was on Novemmber 25 when they ended a four-game losing streak by defeating Deveronside.

Jags have lost four of their last five outings, but have beaten Buckie twice this term including their last win on November 18.

New Elgin play host to Islavale looking for their first win since mid-November.

The game at Pinefield will be Vale's first since the departure of their management team of Kenny Hendry and Kevin Collins.

Spey Valley are at home to Burghead Thistle, who saw their three-game winning sequences ended in their last outing when they were defeated by runaway leaders Nairn St Ninian.

Superleague side Dufftown have not played in any competition since November 18, but are hoping to return to action in Inverurie against Colony park in the Dominos Pizza North Regional Cup.

The Toonsers lost 5-2 to their hosts back in August, and are looking for their first victory since early October.

All of Saturday's kick-offs are 1.30pm.

Fixtures have also been issued for the following Saturday (January 13), also 1.30pm kick-offs.
