THE Moray Open has again attracted a large field.

Competitors teed up on Monday for the 36-hole stroke play qualifying.

A field of 336 competitors has entered the annual competition played over the old and new courses at Moray Golf Club.

They include a number of overseas entries.

The early pacesetter was home club member John Matheson who fired a two under par 68 over the new course.

The matchplay stages will be played on Wednesday and Thursday, with the finals played on Friday.
