The Moray and District Welfare FA have confirmed that 11 clubs have successfully applied to enter this summer's season.

Champions Hopeman, who pipped Buckie United to the last Moray title in 2019, will defend their crown with Buckie expected to push them close.

Regulars like Burghead United and Rothes A have decided to take a year out.

A league spokesperson said a plan was in place to begin the season on June 25, with most games played on Friday nights but some Tuesday fixtures possible.

There will be no cup competitions with the league consisting of each club playing each other once, before splitting into a top six and bottom five to complete the campaign.

Joining Hopeman and Buckie will be three new clubs with Elgin Golden Oldies and Elgin United making their debut at this level, and Lossiemouth Youth returning to the Moray league.

Cullen, Aberlour Villa, FC Fochabers, Tomintoul, RAF Lossiemouth and Portsoy have also signed up for the campaign, with fixtures due to be released soon.
