RANGERS and Celtic ‘legends’ came together for Fernando Ricksen’s match in Elgin.

The Dutch football star, who revealed last year he has Motor Neurone Disease, was given a rapturous and emotional Moray welcome when he walked out on the Borough Briggs pitch before the game on Sunday.

Former Ibrox favourites like Michael Mols, Andy Goram, Marco Negri and Colin hendry were joined by ex-Celtic favourites like Bobby Petta, Regi Blinker and Joe Miller.

Petta, who now works as a personal trainer in Glasgow, said he wanted to give a show of support for Ricksen by playing in the match.

And he spoke of how much he enjoyed the Moray scenery during his brief visit to this area.
