The win takes Graeme Stewart's side up to fourth in the Highland League, just six points behind leaders Fraserburgh.

Nairn quickly equalised through a Rory Williamson header before MacLeod capitalised on a defensive error to restore the home lead on 16 minutes.

MacAskill cut in to slam a third before the half hour and captain Kevin Fraser made it 4-1 on the stroke of half time.

Keith looked eager to bounce back from a series of heavy defeats when they led Formartine United after 45 minutes.

However the Pitmedden visitors hit back after the break to win 2-1, thanks to a penalty kick winner hotly disputed by the Maroons.

Ryan Robertson became only the fifth Keith player to score a goal this season when he forced the ball home on 20 minutes.

Keith had chances to go further ahead, but were pegged back by a spectacular Tyler Mykyta free kick on the hour.

The big talking point arrived 12 minutes from time when former Keith player Dan Park went down in the box and a penalty was awarded, sparking an angry reaction from the home side.

Jonny Crawford duly fired the ball home to net what proved to be the winner.
