MORAY Women were beaten 59-10 in a 10-a-side clash at Morriston Playing Fields by Caithness Krakens in Caledonia North Region League 2 fixture at the weekend.

With the Krakens only having 10 travelling players, compared to Moray’s 18, league rules stipulate that sides must be even and therefore a 10-a-side match was played.

This was well suited the strong experienced 10 of the Caithness side and they went on win 59-10. The room created by the reduced numbers allowed a very good and speedy wing to run in a number of scores.

Moray scored two good tries through Abby Milne and Rosie Boyes and were able to give game time to four debutants.
