Despite challenging weather, the first Scottish Cycling north TT date of the season was keenly contested.

Using Miltonduff Hall as a base, the event is proving popular on the north calendar.

And with the riders finishing their trials exhilarated, yet wet, cold and hungry from their efforts and ready to sample the catering provided by members in the village hall.

The 50 riders set off at one-minute intervals, all vying to catch or pass their ‘minute’ man or woman.

There were 12 riders from Elgin, and others from clubs from Deeside to Orkney, including several racing for the first time.

The host club also provided a team of marshals, time keepers, photographers and first aid specialists, and some spectators arrived to cheer the riders on, particularly at some of the hillier locations.
