Fresh from defeating Aberdeen Grammar 2nds 68-0 with a ten-try display, the Elgin side once more won in convincing fashion.

In the third minute, Moray opened the scoring when after a drive by the forwards, the ball was moved quickly to centre Connor McWilliam who dummied the outside pass and sprinted to score under the posts. Stand-off Rory Millar converted for 0-7.

Seven minutes later, they added a second. Clean ball was taken at a line-out and driven by prop Mark Taylor to a ruck. Scrum-half Cameron Ireland quickly moved the ball left to Millar who chipped the defence before regathering and scoring. He added the conversion for 0-14.

In the 14th minute, centre Cameron Hughes ripped ball in a tackle on half-way and moved the ball wide to wing Lewis Hay who showed great pace to outstrip the defence and score his first senior try. Millar converted for 0-21.

The bonus point try came before the end of the first quarter. A line-out was taken, opened and then driven to a ruck. Quick hands released Hay out wide to score his second for a 28-point lead when Millar added the conversion.

Around the half-hour, wing Lewis Scott added two further tries. The first saw him bulldoze his way through 3 defenders to score and the second started in their own 22 before the wing charged up the left wing, stepped inside the last man to score his second. Millar converted one to leave the score at 0-40.

In the final 3 minutes of the half, the Elgin side added a further two for a half time lead of 0-52. The first came from a quick tap penalty with McWilliam receiving the ball out wide and with room and pace to go round the last man to score his second, a try converted by Millar.

From the restart, second-row Hugh MacRae gathered the ball and drove before the ball was opened to Scott who grubbered through, recollected and scored his third, an unconverted try.

A penalty to Moray in their 22, in the 67th minute, was quickly taken and run by Gregor Hands. Faced with a line of defence, he chipped, chased and in the foot-race got his hand on the ball in front of the defender to score the try. Millar added the extras for 0-73.

Four minutes later, North Police scored an unconverted try, for 5-73, after a number of forward drives at the line

In the 74th minute, the Elgin side added their 12th and final try of the game. Cameron drove ball to a ruck in the 22 and when the ball was shipped, centre Cameron Hughes handed off his opposite number to score.

Millar, who kicked nine out of ten conversions in the previous match, added his tenth of the afternoon for 5-80.

North Police scored the final try off the afternoon with an unconverted try for a final score of 10-80.

It had been a good all-round display by the team in the tight and open, injecting pace and power and clinically finishing their opportunities.

This Saturday, Moray are at home to Banff.
