ROTHES were well-beaten by Inverurie Locos on Saturday in what was interim managers Bobby Beckwith and Derek Thomson's final game in charge.
The duo took over from Ross Jack after he left the club a month ago, taking charge of five matches and guiding the Speysiders to an 8-2 win over Strathspey Thistle last midweek.
Their final match saw them beaten 4-1 by Inverurie Locos at Mackessack Park, with former Canada international Richard Hastings set to take over for tomorrow's game with Buckie Thistle, which is being played in Banff.
Locos took the lead in the 13th minute through Myles Gaffney, and were 2-0 up on the hour mark when Jay Halliday curled in a left-footed effort.
Rothes were back in the game with 15 minutes to play when Liam McDade's long-range strike halved the deficit, but late goals from Gaffney and Callum Duncan put the seal on a comfortable away win for Inverurie.
The Speysiders will be hoping for improvement tomorrow when Hastings takes his troops into battle for the first time.
Rothes are on the road again next midweek in what is a busy start, taking on Banks O' Dee at Spain Park. Hastings' first home match is against Keith next Saturday.
