PAUL Millar grabbed the crucial goal that has given Elgin City a vital play-off advantage.

However, the striker admitted: “We still have a massive job to do down there and we cannot afford to under-estimate them.

“That goal could be important but it is only half-time in the tie. We will still go down there and take the game to them.”

Millar was the coolest man on the park when Daniel Moore’s deflected shot fell to him inside the box early in the second half.

“The ball was spinning and I only had a couple of seconds to think about it. I had to compose myself and some times you get a rush of blood, and it would have been easy to put the ball over the bar.”

Apart from his goal, Millar admitted it was a frustrating evening as City passed up opportunities to take a more convincing lead to Coatbridge on Saturday.

“I thought we played better when they had 11 men on the park and, after they had a man sent off, Albion parked the bus and the game closed up.”

It was Millar who was hauled down by Michael O’Byrne midway through the first half which led to the Rovers’ man being red-carded.
