Grampian Kart Club announce race dates for their 60th anniversary year at their Boyndie Dome circuit

GRAMPIAN Kart Club will celebrate their 60th anniversary with an action-packed year of motorsport action.

The club was formed in 1962 as the Banff and Moray Kart Club, operating at the Boyndie Drome circuit just off the A97 Banff to Portsoy road.

Races this year begin earlier than usual with the first event on February 20, a GP Plate meeting which will be a standalone event with special trophies for the winners.

Marking 60 years at the club, there will be a special event held over the weekend of August 20-21.

The highlight of the year will on July 9-10 when the Association of Scottish Kart Clubs (ASKC) Scottish Championships is held, and this will be a Motorsports UK event.

The other Motorsports UK event will be the first round of the ASKC Scottish Super Series on April 10 which then visits the other three circuits in Scotland.

The Boyndie Drome Open Challenge will again be the mainstay of the club racing with a six round championship in 2022.
