A staple on the local sporting calendar for two decades, the event at Elgin Town Hall on November 27 is, for the third time in as many years, being sponsored by Diageo.

Nominations are being accepted for 14 categories, recognising sporting participants of all ages and abilities, and notable achievements. Categories include: Local Service to Sport; Junior Athlete; Intermediate Sportswoman; Intermediate Sportsman; Senior Sports Athlete; Veteran Sports Athlete; Coach; Club Level; School Sport Volunteer; Intermediate Team; Senior Team; Special Achievement; Community Engagement and Sports Personality of the Year.

Chairwoman of sportMoray, Ann Rossiter, is pleased to have Diageo sponsor another awards ceremony.

“We’re grateful and fortunate to have Diageo as our sponsor for these awards, allowing us to continue to deliver what is the highlight of our year - one that truly recognises the depth and wealth of talent we have across Moray, the commitment and dedication of athletes, coaches, parents and volunteers who put Moray on the map, and act as great ambassadors for their sport and Moray.

“We hope that people will take time to put pen to paper or submit an online nomination for the various categories to showcase the achievements and give us the opportunity to applaud their success.”

Diageo’s technical manager, Sean Pritchard, said they are delighted to continue the company’s sponsorship of the awards.

“Every year we see a fantastic number of very worthy nominees from across the area being recognised for their excellence and contribution.”

Nomination forms are available here or by calling 01343 563374. Nominations close on November 6.
