ROTHES’ boss Graham McBeath is continuing his search for new faces to bolster his side's positive start to the season.

His players were kicking themselves after failing to take the points at home to Lossiemouth.

Victory would have put the Speysiders level on points with a host of clubs at the top of the league, separated only by goal difference after four games.

Striker Matty Fraser, signed on loan for the season from Forres Mechanics, was handed his debut for the final 30 minutes of the goalless encounter.

McBeath said the positive start to the season has given his players a fresh momentum that they struggled to find last season.

However, the manager was disappointed with the performance against Lossie and admitted the visitors had the better chances to win the game.

"I was happy enough with the clean sheet, but I wasn’t happy with the performance. We didn’t play on Saturday and the players looked a bit jaded," he said.

"We have had three clean sheets so far this season and I think we only had four or five the whole of last season.

"There is no point in us beating Locos and, no disrespect to Lossiemouth, failing to beat a team at home we are looking to finish above this season.
