After four defeats in all competitions, Jags picked up three points thanks to a fine 2-1 win away to Fraserburgh.

After going behind in the second half, Buckie hit back with a Kevin Fraser equaliser before Shaun Carrol netted a late spot kick.

Forres beat Huntly 3-0 thanks to goals by Scott Moore, Lee Fraser and Liam Baxter.

Fraser and Baxter have now grabbed six goals each for Mechanics in a high scoring start to the campaign.

Rothes endured yet more misery as they were crushed 12-2 away to Clach.

Just a fortnight after conceding 11 at Brora, the Speysiders were on the receiving end of an embarrassing loss at Grant Street Park.

It was 6-1 at the break and the scoreline was repeated in the second half, with on-loan Inverurie Locos midfielder Ryan Keir netting both goals for Rothes.

Keith took the lead away to champions Brora Rangers through Bruce Milne but couldn’t maintain their advantage as the home side won 4-1.

The score was the same at Station Park where Nairn County ended Lossiemouth’s winning run with a 4-1 success, Scott Miller netting for the Coasters.

It was a high scoring day in the Highland League with 51 goals scored in just eight games, including 8-1 wins for Formartine United and Wick Academy.
