RYAN Farquhar's Lossiemouth season has been ended by an ankle injury.

Farquhar was stretchered off in the second half of Wednesday night's 1-1 league draw at Huntly.

The player confirmed on his Facebook page thathe had chipped a bone in his ankle and damaged tissue around the injury.

He was confined to crutches and will have to wear a protective boot for the next month.

The midweek match might even be Farquhar's last for Lossie as his contract ends in the summer and he has not agreed a new deal.

MacRae is hoping the player will decide to stay but it is understood that several Highland League clubs are ready to make a move.

Lossie came from behind to claim a point against former boss Charlie Charlesworth's team – but it could have been more.

Glenn Murison's first-half Huntly opener was cancelled out by a tap-in from on-loan Elgin City teenager David Wilson on the hour.

Lossie were then awarded a penalty but Ross Archibald's kick hit the post.

The Coasters have just two games left to play, at Buckie on Saturday and Forres a week later.
