STEVIE Dunn is ready to call time on his playing career if his worst injury fears are confirmed.
The Lossiemouth keeper has been told he may have snapped his cruciate ligament.
And if an MRI scan confirms the injury, Dunn (41) admits he will put away the gloves for good.
Surgery would keep him out for around a year with a lengthy rehabilitation, and Dunn admits that would make a return to playing impossible at his age.
He has already initiated the next phase of his career by accepting an invitation from Lossie boss Kevin Walker to join the coaching staff at Grant Park alongside himself and number two Jim Stables.
“The physio thinks I have snapped my cruciate and that will be me finished if that is the case,” he said.
He injured the right knee in a Scottish Cup clash at former club Clach earlier in the season.
“I went for a 50-50 ball and my own defender, Lee Davidson, got pushed in the back and his head smashed into my knee cap.
