MORE than 150 competitors took part in Sansum Martial Arts' Spring Championships, where scores of medals were handed out.
A total of 15 categories were run on Sunday, May 14, with members of clubs in Elgin, Lossiemouth, Forres, Dufftown and Aberdeen coming together at Moray Sports Centre.
Sansum Martial Arts' assistant director Tracy Elliott was delighted with how the event went.
"It was a really successful day," she said. "The team pulled together well to make it all flow and everyone involved had a great time.
"There were a mix of winners from different schools, which was nice to see. It's nice that the schools can come together and people can meet each other and have fun.
"The hard work our students put into classes was on display for friends and family, with some fantastic fights. It doesn't always matter who wins or loses, it's about giving them confidence.
"The respect, camaraderie, resilience and confidence was also evident for all to see. They made us so proud with their efforts."
This was the first of two inter-club competitions that Sansum hosts in a year, with the second, the Winter Championship, to follow in November.
Medal winners on the day were: Abel Reid, Arrabella Ross, Nieve Boyfield, Isla McKenzie, Skye Moss, Rocket Snarski, Tykhon Kolesnykov, Oliver Walker, Cole Buchanan, Ellie Henderson, Jackson Grant, Alfie Robertson, Leo Stevenson, Lachlan Keith, Izaac Munro, Chloe Routledge, Hollie Thirkell, Alexis Grant, Molly Walker, Lexi Laing, Michelle Snowden, Sherrie Donovan, Louise Watkins, Ross Cox, Finn Askew, Simon Keough-Jack, Poppy Douglas, Robyn Collier, Eilidh Regan, Frances Grant, Stuart Kidd, Viggo Forrest, William Little, Graeme King, Caroline Neil, Karina Van Rooyen Cowell, Vic Keough.
