Moravian Orienteers hosted their fifth Saturday event of the year in the rolling sand dunes of Findhorn.

The weather was mostly pleasant with some rain and clouds providing nice temperatures if a little on the warm side. The terrain in itself varied from sandy dunes with random thickets littered across to intricate path systems exploring a nearby wood and the heath.

Overall it was runnable terrain and produced some speedy times.

The top two on the light green (a course for more experienced orienteers) had only 30 seconds between them but Finlay McLuckie managed to score a win over Michael Bishenden.

Finlay's sister Kate won the female category and was third overall.

On the orange (a course for older more experienced children, and adults new to the sport) Moravians dominated the results with positions from third to ninth.

Douglas Murray was third overall, while first female and first Moravian junior was Halszka le Riche in fourth.

On the yellow (a course for beginners) Julia Ross took second, only beaten by a much older junior from another club and Harriet Ross was fifth.
