Burghead Thistle and Buckie Rovers have been given home draws against former winners of the competition.

And Dufftown will travel to play four-time quarter-finalists Neilston, one of the Glasgow area’s most famous junior sides.

This week’s draw paired Buckie with Hill o Beath, who won the Scottish Junior Cup in 1990.

The Fife village where they play is the birthplace of Scotland and Rangers legend Jim Baxter, and they compete in the East Region Super League.

Burghead’s task is no easier as they play host to Kilsyth Rangers, who twice won the Scottish Junior Cup in the fifties and sixties as well as finishing runners-up once.

The Wee ‘Gers, from North Lanarkshire, play in the same West of Scotland Super League First Division as Neilston, Dufftown’s opponents.

All first round ties will be played on Saturday, September 26.

Moray’s other five junior clubs, Fochabers, Forres Thistle, Islavale, Lossiemouth United and New Elgin received byes into the second round.
