Fraserburgh still lead Buckie Thistle by a point with three games to go, following midweek wins for the leading pair.

Broch's 4-2 success at Strathspey Thistle was their seventh league win on the spin, a strong run dwarfed by Jags' record-breaking 22 consecutive league victories.

Buckie fans' hopes were raised when, while they led at Forres on Wednesday night, news filtered through that Strathspey had taken the lead at home to Fraserburgh.

Elgin City loan striker Dylan Lawrence's effort had the Grantown side in the lead until the closing moments of the first half.

Broch proved they won't give up their leadership without a fight, scoring twice in quick succession through Scott Barbour and Paul Campbell to take the lead at half time.

Within a few minutes of the second half starting at Seafield Park, Fraserburgh were further in front as Logan Watt made it 3-1 and Barbour's 33rd goal of the campaign put the Buchan men out of sight, despite Jake Thomson's consolation.

Rothes lost for the third game running, going down 2-1 at home to Brora Rangers.

Andy Macrae and Max Ewan had the Cattachs two-up after half an hour and although Alan Pollock pulled one back from the penalty spot before half time, there was no further scoring.

Keith climbed a couple of places in the league after top scorer Przemyslaw Nawrocki's first half double was enough to secure a 2-1 win over Fort William at Kynoch Park.

That match was Fort's 'home' match, the teams meet again at Keith on Saturday with the Lochaber men almost certain to be facing a relegation play-off.

Huntly hit form with a 4-1 success at home to Deveronvale.

Former Vale trialist Andy Hunter opened the scoring with a penalty for Huntly before Grant Noble made it 1-1 at the break.

The match turned ten minutes after half time as Michael Dangana regained Huntly's lead and moments later Vale were reduced to ten men when Robert Scott was sent off.

Former Lossiemouth striker Brodie Allen netted his first goal in Huntly colours and Gavin Elphinstone added a fourth late on.
