ELGIN City boss Gavin Price says the season is "by no means over" as his side continue to battle for a League Two play-off place.

The Black and Whites ended their nine game run without an away victory as they beat Stenhousemuir 2-0 on Saturday before following it up with a 2-2 draw away to Berwick on Tuesday night (see Elgin City TV highlights above).

Stephen Bronsky gave City a 1-0 lead at half time, before it was cancelled out by a Jack Hamilton strike. Darryl McHardy had Elgin back in front but Price's side could not hold out as Berwick substitute Aaron Murrell equalised with three minutes to go.

Price said although he was disappointed not to hold on for the three points, he could not ask for more from his players as they fight for fourth place.

He said: "I'm not using it as an excuse, but it has been a heavy schedule for the players. They have really been playing for the jersey and that's clear for anybody watching them because they are giving their all. I certainly can't be critical of them, we just didn't manage to see the game through but we will go again on Saturday."

City currently sit one point behind fourth-placed Clyde, and are level on points with Stenhousemuir who have two games in hand.

Stirling Albion are the visitors to Borough Briggs this weekend as Price looks to improve on the recent 2-0 home defeat to Dave Mackay's side.

He said "It is going to be a difficult game, we have not had a good record against them and I do think the game recently was very close.

"We are there, we have something to play for, and we are looking forward to it. The players were obviously disappointed after Tuesday but straight away they were thinking about Saturday's game and about trying to get three points.

"If we can do that and take seven points from these last three games then we would be very happy."
