And former Commonwealth Games fighter Megan Gordon continued her comeback from injury to reach the final of the 50kg women's elite section.

Gordon defeated Rob Roy's Kelsey Hughes on points in the opening bout at the Ravenscraig regional sports centre in Motherwell.

On the previous weekend, the Elgin club had more success when Corey Rizza clinched the Scottish Youth Championship title.

Devine now fights Renfrew rival Olivier Kasasula on finals night on Saturday, April 9.

His victory over Bergin puts him in line for a possible Scotland international call-up.

"I'll just do my thing and hopefully it's enough.

"I've had a couple of assessments (for Scotland selection) and just fell short. I want to win this and maybe get a Scotland vest, that's the plan."

Gordon will take on Doonhamers Boxing Club's Frances Heath in her 50kg final, also on April 9.
