A DELIGHTED group of Buckie Thistle players were the talk of social media after their reaction to drawing Celtic in the Scottish Cup.

Jags players were out in Edinburgh, celebrating Saturday's dramatic victory over Broxburn Athletic, when they were drawn to take on the Hoops at Parkhead.

Forward Marcus Goodall was among those celebrations and told The Northern Scot earlier that is has been a fairytale weekend for the Victoria Park club.

Buckie twice came from behind – equalising in the 98th and 122nd minutes through Josh Peters – before beating Broxburn on penalties at the weekend.

"Playing against Celtic is just mental," he said. "It is the biggest game the club has ever had and probably the biggest it will ever have. I couldn't get my head around it and I couldn't sleep."

Celtic fans – pleased to see their side welcome another side wearing green and white hoops – enjoyed the video.

Dale Wood, another in the Buckie squad who is a Celtic supporter, added: "There are Celtic pages that I have followed on social media for years.

"It's mental seeing fans sharing it, and big pages putting on that they are excited to play a green and white team. It's quite funny.

"It's going to be an amazing feeling. Hopefully we will meet some of the big players – it would be great if they were involved."
