It was the perfect time for Michael Dangana to score his first-ever SPFL goal and become an Elgin City match winning hero.

The winger struck a superb 60th minute volley to clinch City's 1-0 victory over Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic on Saturday.

In his post-match interview - see below - he described the joy of his maiden senior strike, though he felt the ball took an eternity to hit the back of the net.

Dangana, who started his career on the books of Aberdeen before joining Huntly, admitted he has taken time to make the step up from Highland League to SPFL.

However, he believes he will gain confidence from his man-of-the-match display against Bonnyrigg and feels Elgin will continue to rise the table and reach safety in League 2.
