The 27-year-old joined City this week on loan from Cove Rangers and was put straight into their starting line-up for Saturday's League 2 clash with Stranraer.

Match report: Elgin City 2 Stranraer 1.

After a sluggish first half hour when Elgin went behind, they fought back to win through two second half penalties including the 89th minute winner earned by Golding.

City's new boy said after the match that he is confident of scoring goals in the SPFL and believes Elgin should be much higher in the League 2 table - watch interview below.

He talked about his frustration in League 1 at Cove, his success in the Highland League on loan at Banks O' Dee and how pleased he is to land an opportunity at Elgin.
