Elgin City manager Barry Smith's words following his team's battling 2-0 victory over Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic on Saturday - watch interview below including Connall Ewan's second goal for the home side.

Match report: Elgin 2 Bonnyrigg 0.

Smith was thrilled by his team's show of fight and determination on a rain-soaked afternoon to gain a result that lifted the Black and Whites out of bottom position in League 2.

It was City's first victory in six matches since September's maiden league success over Dumbarton.

Ewan sealed the win on 61 minutes after Rory MacEwan fired the home team in front 48 seconds into the second half.

The City manager praised keeper Tom McHale for a string of good stops to preserve the clean sheet.

And he will ask his men to repeat their performance in next Saturday's rematch with Dumbarton away from home - City's form on the road has been their main downfall this term.
