Football has continued at SPFL level this season but every player misses the roar of a home crowd whenever they score a goal.

As the best supported side in league 2, Elgin City have found it particularly difficult without their black and white diehards playing the part of the 12th man inside Borough Briggs.

Those fans were missed on Saturday when Elgin lost the first leg of their play-off to Edinburgh, a 1-0 win giving the capital side an advantage going into tonight's rematch.

Elgin asked their supporters to send in video posts and pictures, urging the team on for their big game.

Club secretary Keiran Carty then put the media together to play to the players before the match - see the club's Facebook post - and the message stays strong ahead of the second leg.

Can Elgin turn their deficit into a lead and see off their hosts tonight to reach the play-off finals for the first time?

The fans will be cheering their every kick via live streams and score updates this evening, hoping their season can carry on into next week.
