GAVIN Price said he was "gutted" that Elgin City lost to Stirling Albion after putting so much into Saturday's contest.

The City boss said in his post match interview that the 2-0 home defeat was hard to take given how dominant his team was for long spells of the match.

He refused to criticise his players but said he will analyse the loss of a bad goal in first half stoppage time, a moment he felt was crucial in the outcome of the game.

Price praised new Falkirk loan signing Jaime Wilson on his Elgin debut as a second half sub and was impressed by ex-Caley Thistle attacker Matheus Machado, making only his second sub appearance for the team.

And he looked forward to Saturday's home game against Championship side Caley Thistle in the last sixteen of the SPFL Trust Trophy.
