WATCH: Elgin City assistant manager Stefan Laird promises January window transfer activity following Black and Whites' 2-1 victory over Peterhead in League 2

It was the first Elgin City victory of Allan Hale and Stefan Laird's managerial reign, a derby win over Peterhead that thrilled the Borough Briggs support.

City assistant boss Laird spoke about his delight at the 2-1 win and praised his team's performance against a talented Blue Toon side - watch post-match interview below, as well as Ryan MacLeman's opening strike.

He spoke about the contributions of goalscorers MacLeman and Robert Jones and hailed the energetic showing of Russell Dingwall, who set up both City strikes.

Laird also said that he and manager Hale are keen to add some new faces in the January transfer window and have already identified a string of targets to try and bring in.
