LEAGUE 2 leaders Elgin City need to build on their good start and keep raising their levels of performance to succeed this season.

That's the view of manager Gavin Price, who spoke after Saturday's 3-0 home win over Brechin City.

He watched striker Kane Hester bag two more goals to clinch victory in the second half, and said he expects bigger clubs to be showing interest if the striker maintains his fine form.

Price also had consoling words for Hester's strike partner Smart Osadolor, who has yet to get off the mark this season and missed an easy chance in Saturday's match.

The manager feels his team could have been more clinical in front of goal and says they will need to be when they visit Edinburgh City this weekend.
