Gavin Price is eager to see Elgin City continue their unbeaten run when they visit League 2 leaders Dumbarton on Saturday.

The City manager was pleased with Tuesday's 3-1 SPFL Trust Trophy success over Stenhousemuir, booking a place in Monday's third round draw.

The Black and Whites have drawn their last three league matches by a 2-2 scoreline, and beaten Dundee United B and Stenhousemuir in the cup to put together a five-game undefeated run.

Yet a league victory still escapes Elgin and it won't be easy to achieve at Dumbarton, who have a 100 per cent record after four league games.

The Sons did crash 7-0 to Rangers B in the cup last night but Price dismisses that result as "irrelevant" on terms of this weekend's league clash.

Goals by Kane Hester, Jake Dolzanski and Russell Dingwall earned City's 3-1 success over Stenny.
