The Elgin manager said in his post match interview (below) that his team's display surpassed his expectations given the interruption to City's pre-season preparations caused by a Covid outbreak in the camp.

Price was thrilled by the debut of new goalkeeper Daniel Hoban, and is excited by teenage duo Dylan Lawrence and Fin Allen, the latter making his first team debut in Saturday's game.

Elgin now travel to Tannadice to take on Premiership top seeds Dundee United in their next group game on Wednesday.
