ELGIN City's shock slump to Albion Rovers was the lowest point of manager Gavin Price's time at the club.

Price said in his post-match interview - see below - that the 5-2 defeat on Saturday was worse than City's 7-0 thrashing at Peterhead in the early days of his City managerial career.

Elgin needed a point to get back into the play-off places but must now try and pick themselves up for Tuesday night's visit to champions=elect Queen's Park.

A fresh-air kick by keeper Tom McHale when a passback bobbled in front of him gifted Matty Aitken an easy 10th minute opener for Albion.

Elgin deservedly levelled through Kane Hester and were well on top until another freak goal edged Rovers back in front.

This time a Ryan Stevenson shot smacked against the post and hit McHale on the back and spun in for an own goal.

Aitken volleyed in a third on the hour and sub Kyle Doherty added two more before Conor O'Keefe's last minute consolation for a well-beaten City.
