City moved five points clear of bottom spot and within two points of sixth place thanks to Ryan MacLeman's first half strike.

Defender and former player manager Ross Draper bossed the team following Barry Smith's surprise exit after just eight games at the helm.

Taylor, who has made the switch from wide midfielder to left back this season, was voted man of the match.

He spoke after the game about City's desire to pull away from the league's basement towards mid-table respectability.

With Elgin looking to appoint their fourth manager in eight months soon, the former Camelon Juniors player said it has been a difficult campaign for the club.

But he maintained that the squad has kept their full focus on each match, whoever has been in charge of the team.
