Buckie Thistle will be Celtic's next opponents, and the Scottish champions plan to be refreshed and recovered for their Scottish Cup clash with the Highland League side.
The Scottish Premiership champions won 3-0 at St Mirren in their final match before entering a winter break.
They won't play again until January 21 against Jags, by which time manager Brendan Rodgers hopes to have some new signings in place.
Rodgers told the club website after their victory in Paisley that his squad would appreciate time to recuperate from a hectic run of matches.
But he is aiming to have every player in prime condition for the match against Buckie.
“We’ve got a little bit of recovery now because it’s been such a busy period, especially this December through to early January with lots of games," he said.
"So the players need that chance just to recover, but we’ll be back in working very hard, looking to improve the squad and be ready for our first Scottish Cup game when it comes later in January.”
