International runner Wilson wins his home club Moray Road Runners' 10k race

SCOTLAND international Kenny Wilson made his return to the Northern Scot 10k series by winning Sunday's Moray Road Runners' 10k at Miltonduff.

Wilson won in 30.46, two minutes ahead of Deeside runner James Espie with Gordon Lennox (Inverness Harriers) third.

Another Inverness runner, Jenny Bannerman won the ladies race and was fifth overall. Elgin AAC's Kayleigh Jarrett was second and Gemma Cormack (Inverness Harriers) was third.

First M40 runner was Eoin Coull (Ross County)while ex-Forres Harriers athlete Stan Mackenzie was first M50.

Keith and District AAC's Frankie Barton was first M60 runner home, also finishing inside the top 20 in a time of 38.31.

Host club Moray Road Runners had another category winner in Michelle Slater, who was top F40 athlete in 35th place (40.43), with Carrie-Ann Ward (Forres Harriers) second.

Forres Harriers' Clare Nicholas was the F50 age group with team mate Elizabeth Watson third.
