Woodwork denies Buckie a win

The closest they came to scoring was when Steven Ross' free kick came back off the post, and sub Mitch Foy struck the bar late in the game.

Former Buckie keeper Greg Sim had some good saves for Turriff, who also hit the woodwork with the last chance of the match.

Rothes lost for the third game in a row, a 4-0 defeat at Inverurie Locos who moved level with Cove at the top of the league.

Two goals by veteran Neil McLean and one each for Neil Gauld and Chris Angus rewarded Locos' superiority.

Cove's game at Fraserburgh was postponed again and they have nine games remaining to cram into a three-week window.

However they are still top on goal difference and have five games in hand over Locos.

Brora jumped above Buckie into sixth with a 1-0 win at Nairn while Wick won 3-0 at Strathspey.
