UPDATE: A96 in Elgin fully reopened after “crash” involving semi-dressed man

A SECTION of the A96 in Elgin remains closed after an incident involving a pedestrian this morning.

The road has been closed in both directions for a 100-metre stretch after the roundabout at KFC since around 8.30am, with traffic arriving from Lhanbryde direction being forced left.

The Northern Scot has seen two videos of the incident - one showing a man running on the pavement by the road and a second that shows a man lying on the A96. The welfare of the man remains unknown.

Half a dozen police cars were on the scene of the incident, along with several ambulances. Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
