Outbreak of Covid-19 at Turriff Community Hospital sees 23 patients and staff members contract virus

A TOTAL of 23 staff members and patients at Turriff Community Hospital have tested positive for Covid-19.

NHS Grampian said that the cases at the hospital, now closed to new admissions, have all been confirmed within the last month.

A spokesperson for the health board said: "In total, 23 Covid-19 cases associated with Turriff Hospital have been identified since December 8.

"Both staff and patients have been affected.

“The facility is currently closed to new admissions. Patients are receiving care as normal.”
