Grampian coronavirus cases more than double

THE number of coronavirus cases in the Grampian region has more than doubled in the last 24 hours.

As of Monday at 2pm, the number was 12 across Grampian. However, the figure is now 26.

Coronavirus hits courts.

That makes Grampian the third worst-hit region in Scotland, behind Glasgow and Clyde (49) and Lothian (30). The total number of cases across Scotland is at 195, with two deaths.

A total of 5,051 tests have been confirmed negative so far, however not everybody with coronavirus symptoms is being tested for the virus, but rather being advised to remain indoors and self-isolate.

Common symptoms of coronavirus include a high temperature or fever, a cough and shortness of breath.
