Police name motorcyclist who died in Moray A96 crash as Andrew Wright

POLICE have officially named a motorcyclist who died in a crash on the A96 as 34-year-old Andrew Wright from Elgin.

Mr Wright was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident happened at around 8.40am on Sunday, July 30 and involved a white Hyundai i10 car and a black Yamaha Tracer 9 motorcycle, ridden by Mr Wright.

Mr Wright's family have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.

Police say enquiries are still ongoing adding that anyone with information can call 101, quoting incident 1112 of July 30.
