And they can let decision-makers and influencers know at free coffee morning this weekend.

The community consultation and coffee morning will take place in Lossiemouth Town Hall on Saturday, January 27 from 10am to 12pm.

Under the banner 'Lossie Matters', the event will pull together some of the key organisations in the town – Lossiemouth Community Council, Lossiemouth Community Development Trust, Lossiemouth Business Association and Moray Council.

Alison Read, an officer with the development trust, said: "There is lots that the community can come along and find out about. We want to make Lossie an even better place to live and work."

There will be free children's activities and refreshments, to allow parents with small children to attend.

The event is being supported by Impact Funding Partners on behalf of the Scottish Government and Convention of Scottish Local Authorities.

Some of the topics up for discussion include local democracy, the potential community asset transfer and redevelopment of Station Park, a local place plan for Lossie, an Active Travel route cycle and walking path between Lossiemouth and Hopeman, and a new skatepark for the town's youngsters.
