City hope to stage an open day soon, possibly at their next home match against Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic on November 11.

"It's not a panic measure," he said. "We just need to get certain expertise on the board that’s not there right now.

"There may someone with potential to become our financial director, somebody that’s used to doing finances or accounts.

"Maybe there's someone out there with a commercial background who would like to help us. We are looking at various things to try and improve the situation.

"Nobody has any doubt that we are aware of everything that is going on.

"What you don’t want is a debating society. You want people to come with a certain expertise or talent to add to what we have."

City endured possibly the worst result in their 130-year history when they were thrashed 6-0 by Jeanfield Swifts in the Scottish Cup last Saturday.

The Moray club also find themselves bottom of the League 2 table, a position which elevates the threat of relegation back to the Highland League.

Such is the difficulties faced by the club on and off the pitch, Tatters said City have one target for the current campaign - to avoid the drop.

"The bottom line is we’ve got to give it our best efforts, persevere and hope that things turn around and that players become available in January.

"We aren't in a good position right now but this is something we’ve dealt with before.

"We’ve got to make sure that we are not club 42 at the end of the season. Nothing else matters except that."
