PICTURES: Freezing temperatures lead to snowy conditions in Elgin

MORAY is experiencing snowy conditions, with freezing cold temperatures across the region.

There was chaos in Craigellachie this morning, with a snowy gridlock taking place this morning and several schools in Moray have been closed as a result of the cold conditions.

Although there has been less snow in Elgin, conditions have remained a chilly 0°C with lows of -2°C. Snow showers are expected to continue this week, with an amber weather warning from the Met Office until Thursday.
